Little house on Drina is the symbol of Bajina Bašta and one of the most famous features of the entire Podrinje region. This fairytale-like sight of the little house in the middle of the river presents a certain kind of rarity. Little house on Drina has been know for quite some time not only as the local Bajina Bašta brand but also as one of the recognizable Serbian symbols that speaks volumes about the beauty of our nature and the unusual, yet unique balance between the nature and the man in our country. According to one of the local folk tales for the creation of the rock in the middle of the river we can thank Serbian national hero Marko Kraljević. While passing to the other side of Drina without having his horse's Šarac hooves wet he threw a giant stone from Crvena stena to the river's very center. Šarac jumped from the one side to the newly created rock and then to the other side of Drina and according to the best connoisseurs of the secrets of this place you can still see Šarac's hoove-prints.
